About Samuel Blum
Maintaining the journal has been a fulfilling task in documenting the events and describing the surroundings of the Jura. The knowledge obtained from the communication course, combined with my prior work in digital media, culminated in the creation of this website. My hope is that this online space will serve as a reference for not only myself, but others to look back to in comparing future journeys through parts of France or even an agricultural region in a given community.

More Information About the Course
The Journey through the Jura was developed from the excerpts of a journal written during the week-long visit to the region in June 2011. The travel log was a beneficial way to understand the region and chart the differences in culture (and agriculture) between the United States and France. While there is a good portion of daily activities included, I've spared the reader from much of the theoretical discussion in which the full Food, Culture and Communication course delves into with further detail.
